I have been scrapping for 2 years now. I started this time, two years ago, just before the delivery of my baby boy... and now he is a running, jumping monkey. And in my 2 years of scrapping, I have not created anything for myself. Not until now :) So here's my first gift, to myself.
This photo was taken by my wedding photographer Brian Ho from the thegaleria.com at the end of my wedding luncheon, while hubby and I were thanking our guests. I created a shadowbox for it, to sit alongside the Mother's Day gift my son made for me. Hopefully... this would be a first, and not the only, or the last. I hope to eventually fill my home with milestone photos of my family :)
So yep, i'll stop here, and let the photos do the talking.
I love the details, and that moment captured, do you? :)

Almost mine :)
I almost couldn't part with this, haha. But I did, anyway.
This is a 12x12 I created in a class and it is now going to Cheryl Rodda, cos her swap partner flaked on her. So yes... you read it right. I angelled yet again. I created this layout "blind". As in, I do not know what Cheryl is gonna use it for, and I don't have a photo to work with. So basically I just embellished a page, and left a photo mat for a photo that Cheryl can fill in herself when she receives it.
But for the sake of photography and display on the blog, I just temporarily inserted a photo of my own to complete the look :)
This was taken on my wedding day. Hubby came to pick me up, but I was too busy with my Wii and didn't wanna leave just yet haha.
Some close up on details... And yep. That's about it :)
Hope you like it Cheryl!

Angelling for an Angel
*sigh* i don't know... but i think nice people get taken advantage of. Anitra is like the sweetest, most patient swapper in my most recent swap, and yet she got flaked on twice! First by her partner (ok not flaked, but she had to pull out), then by her ANGEL! How can an angel flaked?! :(
Anyway, Anitra is also voted by the site to be the winner of best creation. So I say, just too bad for the people who flaked on her. You are just not fated to own her gorgeous creation!
So anyway... I filled in as an angel for her. And here's what I made.
This is the box.
Held closed by ribbons...
The entire set. I left the sentiments blank so that Anitra can fill in whatever she wanna say herself :)
I take no credits for the photos... they are mostly taken by Brian Ho from thegaleria and stolen off google. lol Brian is my wedding photographer too and he is awesome. Know what? He shoots in film! How often do you find a photographer who is confident enough to shoot in film these days? 'nuff said! Do look for him if you are getting married :)

Love is Patient Journal
So I hosted a couple of swaps on on Scrappy Happiness Ning... and one of the talented ladies, Amanda got flaked, on not one, but TWO projects :( As promised, I'll never let my participants walk away empty handed. So I angelled, and altered a journal for her (in place of the cigar box, cos there ain't any cigar boxes lying around for sale in Singapore! Ugh...)
It's a shabby chic theme... So yea. i think i did alright? What do you think? :)

Dileen ~ Simple Joys
Yoohoooo... *echo* lol. I wonder if anyone is still here. anyway, some months back i mentioned that I made a 12x12 lauout for an intern of mine. And here it is :) Late... but well better than never right?
That ripped distressed look on the top left is done by gluing kitchen towels onto textured cardstock, then inking. the glue will act as a resist.
So yep, a quick blogspot here. Will just let the images speak for themselves!

Jinxiu's Wedding Guest Book, in a Parisian Café Shop Front-Inspired Box
So, my dearest girlfriend from art college is getting married! We have came a long way, 10 years of friendship and I'm glad that she found a guy who is dedicated to taking good care of her (as compared to the assholes that she was dating previously.) So happy for you Xiu!!
So anyway, here's a wedding guest book that I made for her, housed in a Parisian café shop front-inspired box, which *ahem*, yours truly hand crafted outta chipboard.
This is also a guest design project for MiniAlbumScraps, using the "Gates Mini Album", and "Parisian Shapes Set" available in their store.
Close up on the details in the guest book. The large indigo rose is from Prima Roses of Spain, Anais collection from 2010. Love this. Prima don't do fabric flowers this way anymore :( The rest are Prima classics. Also some flower trim and pom pom trim. Chipboard shapes are from MiniAlbumScraps.
The gate is again, from MiniAlbumScraps. I highly recomend that you check out their store on their Ning, Lotsa awesome laser cut shaped albums, and laser cut shapes set!
Finally, a look at how the box opens...
To house the guest book...
And tadah!! The chandalier on the guest book is strategically placed so that it appears through the "window" of the shop front. Now the wedding couple is in a nice cozy cafe, lit by a chandalier, while they sip their coffee.

Now, close ups on the box.
The bicycle is metal! It's from the recent Prima Shabby Chic Treasures collection. Pretty yea?

Ok that's all for now, gonna hop on ovr to my friend's place to drop off the guest book. Did I mention that she is gonna move into my neighbourhood soon and is literally living a stone's throw away?! How awesome is that! I'm looking forward to late night coffee and ice cream now, perhaps in a quaint nearby café like this one!
